On September 9th and 10th, 2010, the 2nd Swiss Conference on Standardized Patients and Simulation in Health Care will take place in Bern.

It is a joint enterprise of the Bern University of Applied Sciences Health Section, the Berner Bildungszentrum Pflege, the Institute of Medical Education of the University of Bern and the University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland – School of Health Sciences, Lausanne.

The objectives of the conference are to:
– Discuss scientific bases and best practice in health education using Standardized Patients and Simulation.
– Determine new directions for learning, teaching and assessing with Standardized Patients and Simulation.
– Identify relationships between the use of Standardized Patients and Simulations in education and patient safety.

The target audience are all faculty and clinicians involved in healthcare education as well as medical doctors and allied health professionals interested in this new approach of training and assessment.
